The "Willy Victor Squadrons
My Squadron was VW-11, Stationed in Argentia, Newfoundland from 1957 to 1960. Flying Barrier Flights from Argentia to the Azores and back to Argentia. The flights lasted from 14 to 16 hours average. Unless due to the weather we had to circle back to the Azores, refuel, get a little rest, then takeoff again. This was "During the Cold War."
